A rare and gorgeous obscurity from the never-ending depths of the 1970’s Italian film soundtrack world. This one is from a 1971 crime caper named Confessione Di Un Commissario Di Polizia Al Procuratore Della Repubblica, and Riz Ortolani does an excellent job conjuring up funky action sounds and brassy tension. Really lovely stuff! Price of the original copy (RCA Original Cast - 1971): 300-350$
Check the dramatic "Main Theme" & the killer jazz-funk "Il Ricordo Di Serena Part 1&2" or the organ storm "I Travestiti".

Kapingbdi came together in Liberia, West Africa, during the late 1970’s and had their own unique style. This six to seven-piece band played original compositions in a vibrant mix of African Rhythms, Soul, Spiritual Jazz, Funk and Rock. Led by Kojo Samuels on sax, flute and vocals “Born in The Night” presents the essential tracks from their rare studio LPs produced between 1978-1981. The work has been carefully edited and remastered in 2019 for vinyl LP and a 6-Page Digipack CD from Sonorama Label. Kapingbdi hail from Liberia, West Africa and have their own imitable style. They effortlessly combine traditional African music in a modern mix of Spiritual Jazz, Funk, Soul and Rock. The band is a fusion of the old and the new.
Check the Afro-fusion "You Go Go You Go Come" with unique style & the instro-monster "Kapingbdi".
Download
For their debut album, New Jersey duo Solid Bronze embrace the greats of 1970s funk and soul. Produced by Chris Hartford and Mickey "Dean Ween" Melchiondo, The Fruit Basket draws heavily from the likes of Curtis Mayfield, Sly Stone, Archie Sheep, and the more electric period of Miles Davis, while hints of early psychedelia and R&B bleed into its sound. Boasting a healthy contribution of notable artists – including Parliament/Funkadelic guitarist Michael "Kidd Funkadelic" Hampton, Morphine saxophonist Dana Colley, and Ween keyboardist Glenn McClelland – Solid Bronze produce a debut album that supersedes the quality implied by their name; one which demonstrates their talent as musicians and aficionados of their genre.
Check the funky "Hard to Keep the Faith" with melodic horns, great drum solo & mighty vocal refrain and the amazing (like Funkadelic) mid-tempo funk "Midnite Goose" with very amusing vocals.
Groovy mod-soul-jazz piano numbers. Check the "Flowers On The Wall", a song made famous the American country group Statler Brothers, which appeared also in 'Pulp Fiction' ost.
Το "Flowers On The Wall" είναι διασκευή του ομώνυμου τραγουδιού των Statler Brothers, το οποίο βρίσκουμε στο σάουντρακ της ταινίας Pulp Fiction. Download
